Indian cricket team will debut for the first time in Asian Games 2023

The Asian Games, also known as the Asiad, is a major multi-sport event held every four years in which athletes from countries in Asia participate. It is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and is considered the second largest multi-sport event after the Olympic Games. The Asian Games will be held from September 23 to October 8, 2023. Hangzhou, China will held the Asian Games. BCCI has to give its team’s team squad list for 19th Asian Games Hangzhou by 15th July

The Asian Games feature a wide range of sports, including traditional Asian sports, Olympic sports, and other non-Olympic sports. The number of sports and disciplines may vary from edition to edition. Some of the most popular sports at the Asian Games include athletics, swimming, badminton, basketball, football (soccer), table tennis, and martial arts such as judo and taekwondo.

BCCI will send the Indian cricket team to the Asian Games for the first time. The BCCI did not send the Indian cricket team to the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games, despite cricket being played there. They will hold the Asian Games in September and October, and the men’s ODI World Cup at the same time. Indian team B will play in the Asian Games. According to many reports, Shikhar Dhawan will be sent to captain the team.
