Lanka Premier League
Lanka Premier League (LPL) is a professional National league. The Lanka Premier League (LPL) is administered by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) in Sri Lanka. The first season happened in the year 2020. Although it was supposed to start in 2018, it was postponed till 2020 due to some issue.
That is its third season in the year 2022. In which there are 5 teams and 24 matches. The Jaffna Kings franchise has won the title in the years 2020 and 2021. In the year 2022, the LPL T20 league will be held from 6 December to 23 December. Although the Lanka Premier league is held at the beginning of the year but the series with Pakistan and then the T20 World and Sri Lanka are being held in December due to the crisis.
Colombo Stars, Dambulla Aura, Galle Gladiators, Jaffna Kings, Kandy Falcons are the teams in the year 2022. To the captain of the team are Colombo Stars ( Angelo Mathews), Dambulla Aura (Dasun Shanaka), Galle Gladiators (Kusal Mendis), Jaffna Kings (Thisara Perera), Kandy Falcons (Wanindu Hasaranga).
Sri Lanka Cricket Board Venue R. Premadasa Stadium, Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Matches will be held from 6th December to 20th December. Along with Sri Lanka, Pakistan, West Indies, South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan players are included in this league. There will be a qualifier match on 21 March. The Eliminator match took place on 22 March. The qualifier 2 match took place on 22 March and the final match took place on 23 March.
