Pippa is a film depicting the Battle of Garibpur during the 1971 India-Pakistan War, starring Brigadier General Balram Singh Mehta of the 45 Cavalry Tank Company.

Pippa is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and written by Ravinder Randhawa, Tanmay Mohan, Raja Krishna Menon. The film’s music is composed by Rahman and his background music in the film’s trailer is soft, patriotic, touching and catchy. The film’s title comes from the amphibious tank PT-76, commonly known as Pippa, which looks like a can of ghee floating on the surface of the water.
Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur are the producers of the film and it is being produced under the banner of RSVP Movies, Roy Kapur Films. The film is to be released on OTT on Amazon Prime Video on November 10.
