According to sacnilk, Salaar had crossed the Rs 90.7 crore mark on its first day, but Dunki had crossed the Rs 29.2 crore mark on its first day. Salaar has the highest worldwide collection this year and the third all-time opening day collection. Dunki was released on 21st December, while Salaar was released on 22nd December. Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Meenakshi Choudhary and Saran Shakti, and on the other hand Dunki stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal.
Prabhas’s rebel character is returning in the film, Shah Rukh Khan had brought a comedy drama film after giving two brilliant action films. If the budget of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire and Dunki is compared, Salaar is made with a budget of Rs 400 crores, while Dunki is made with a budget of Rs 120 crores. The clash of “Saalar vs Dunki Collection” was getting a lot of excitement among the fans. Salaar is packed with action scenes, larger-than-life characters, fast-paced group action and special effects, while Dunki is a comedy and family drama. Both belong to different genre.

Salaar has collected up to Rs 308 crore in its first weekend. Salaar has collected ₹186.05 crore in Telugu, ₹9.65 crore in Malayalam, ₹15.2 crore in Tamil, ₹4.6 crore in Kannada and ₹91.5 crore in Hindi at the box office collection in its first weekend. Donkey has made a box office collection of Rs 152.01 crore in its first week, Dunki was released only in Hindi language.

The box office collection of Salaar has declined, the film will collect around 10-12 crores on its 8th day, the overall Telugu occupancy of Salaar is 19%. Dunki can collect up to 8-10 crores, today the Hindi occupancy of the film is 9.25%. Both have made excellent box office collections worldwide. This is the first time Shah Rukh Khan has worked with Rajkumar hirani and this is also Prashanth Neel’s first film with Prabhas and both the films have performed well at the box office.
