Shubman Gill had broken a record earlier as well which was against Zimbabwe. Sachin Tendulkar scored 127 runs in the year 1998. Due to this, no individual had made such a score against Zimbabwe. In August 2022, Shabnam Gill broke the record by scoring 130 runs in the Zimbabwe series. Shubman Gill hit 15 fours and 1 six in 97 balls. The youngest cricketer to score a century against Zimbabwe. Earlier this record was in the name of Rohit Sharma.
