World Cup 2023 Schedule: India vs Pakistan Faceoff on 15 October | ICC World Cup 2023 to open with New Zealand vs England match at Ahmedabad
The 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup tournament will take place from 5 October 2023 to 19 November 2023.
The first match of the world will be between New Zealand and England at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. India’s first match will be with Australia at MA Chidambaram Stadium (chepauk Stadium) in Chennai. There is a match between India and Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 15 (Sunday).
PCB called for a change of venue by refusing to play the match at Narendra Modi Stadium. There was also a controversy in the World Cup 2023. Pakistan has previously threatened to boycott the 2023 World Cup Because India was not going to Pakistan to play Asia Cup. Pakistan will host the 2025 Champions Trophy after seeking confirmation from BCCI that it will come to Pakistan from India.
Venue for world cup 2023 will be in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Delhi, Indore, Dharamshala, Guwahati, Rajkot, Raipur, Mumbai. Ten teams will participate in the 2023 ICC World Cup. 8 teams confirmed.
Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa have qualified for the 2023 ICC World Cup. The 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifiers will run from 18 June to 9 July 2023.
